Obsidian Glows offers individually designed and handmade Custom Creations based on customer ideas, preferences, and project requests.
This policy explains the process, expectations, payment terms, artistic discretion, and other conditions that apply to Custom Creations.
By approving and purchasing a Custom Creation, you agree to the terms of this policy.
Customers may submit a Custom Creation request through the Obsidian Glows website.
A request may include information such as:
Submitting a request does not guarantee that Obsidian Glows will accept or produce the project.
Each request is reviewed individually based on feasibility, materials, available time, project requirements, and whether the request is appropriate for the products and services offered by Obsidian Glows.
Custom Creation pricing is determined individually and may depend on factors such as:
Any initial budget selected or provided when submitting a request is intended to help Obsidian Glows understand the customer's expectations and is not a guaranteed final price.
A final price or quote will be provided before payment is required.
Quotes may be subject to reasonable expiration periods when material prices, availability, or other project conditions may change.
Before work begins, customers may be asked to review and approve applicable project details, pricing, specifications, or other information.
Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing these details before approving the project.
Approval indicates that the customer authorizes Obsidian Glows to proceed based on the agreed information.
Changes requested after approval may not always be possible and may result in additional charges.
Payment requirements will be communicated before work begins.
Unless otherwise specifically agreed, Obsidian Glows may require payment before materials are purchased or production begins.
A Custom Creation is not considered confirmed for production until required approval and payment have been received.
If additional customer-requested changes materially increase the cost of materials or labor after the original agreement, additional payment may be required before those changes are completed.
Obsidian Glows understands that customers may occasionally want to adjust a Custom Creation.
Reasonable changes may be considered when they are requested early enough in the process and can be made without substantially restarting or altering completed work.

Obsidian Glows will communicate significant additional costs before proceeding with a customer-requested modification.
Custom Creations are individually made rather than mass-produced.
The finished creation may contain reasonable variations in:
Colors may also appear differently in person than they do in photographs or on digital screens.
These reasonable variations are part of the handmade nature of the product and are not considered defects.
Reference photographs, sketches, descriptions, inspiration images, and examples are used to understand the customer's desired concept.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, they should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the completed creation will be an exact reproduction.
Obsidian Glows may use reasonable artistic judgment when translating a customer's concept into a handmade finished product.
The goal is to create a piece that reflects the approved concept while maintaining the handmade and original nature of Obsidian Glows creations.
Customers may provide reference photographs or inspiration images to help communicate their desired style, theme, or concept.
Customers should only submit materials they have the right or permission to provide.
Reference images belonging to another artist, designer, photographer, business, or copyright holder may be used for general inspiration, but Obsidian Glows will not knowingly reproduce protected artwork or another creator's original design as an exact unauthorized copy.
Obsidian Glows may adapt general themes, colors, concepts, or stylistic inspiration while creating an original finished piece.
Customers are responsible for verifying the accuracy of information they provide for personalization.
This may include:
Obsidian Glows is not responsible for errors in a completed creation that directly result from incorrect information supplied and approved by the customer.
If Obsidian Glows makes an error that does not match the information the customer correctly provided and approved, we will review the issue and determine an appropriate resolution.
Certain requested materials, stones, crystals, charms, colors, components, or other supplies may be unavailable, discontinued, naturally variable, or difficult to obtain.
If a requested material becomes unavailable, Obsidian Glows may contact the customer to discuss an appropriate substitute or modification.
A material substitution that would significantly alter the approved appearance or cost of a Custom Creation will not knowingly be made without reasonable customer communication.
Any estimated completion timeframe provided for a Custom Creation is an estimate unless specifically stated otherwise.
Completion time may be affected by:
Obsidian Glows will make reasonable efforts to complete accepted projects within the estimated timeframe but cannot guarantee completion or delivery by a particular date unless specifically agreed.
Shipping transit time is separate from production time.
Timely customer communication may be necessary to complete a Custom Creation.
If Obsidian Glows requests approval, clarification, additional information, or another response necessary to continue the project, production may be paused until the requested information is received.
Delays caused by waiting for customer information or approval may extend the estimated completion timeframe.
Custom Creation requests that have not yet been approved, paid for, or started may generally be declined or withdrawn.
Once a Custom Creation has been approved and payment has been completed, the purchase is subject to the Obsidian Glows Final Sale Policy.
Once materials have been purchased or work has begun, customer-requested cancellation may not be accepted.
Obsidian Glows reserves the right to decline or cancel a Custom Creation when reasonably necessary, including situations involving:
If Obsidian Glows cancels a paid Custom Creation before fulfillment, any refund due will be determined based on the circumstances, including whether work or nonrecoverable material costs have already been incurred, subject to applicable law.
All completed Custom Creation purchases are final sale.
Custom, personalized, and made-to-order products cannot be returned or exchanged because of:
This does not prevent Obsidian Glows from addressing an item that arrives damaged or defective or a confirmed error made by Obsidian Glows.

If a Custom Creation arrives damaged or does not reasonably match the approved specifications because of an error by Obsidian Glows, please contact us promptly.
Photographs or other information may be requested to evaluate the issue.

Because Custom Creations are individually made, an identical replacement may not always be possible.
When a Custom Creation incorporates crystals, stones, herbs, ritual components, spiritual symbolism, metaphysical themes, or intention-based elements, any associated spiritual or metaphysical descriptions are provided for informational, traditional, entertainment, or spiritual purposes.
Obsidian Glows does not guarantee a particular spiritual, emotional, relationship, financial, or other metaphysical outcome from a Custom Creation.

Obsidian Glows may wish to photograph completed Custom Creations for business records, portfolio examples, website galleries, or promotional purposes.
Personally identifying customer information will not intentionally be displayed as part of a public portfolio image without appropriate permission.
If a creation contains personally identifying information that would make public display inappropriate, Obsidian Glows may avoid displaying that information or obtain permission before using the image publicly.
Information and reference images submitted through the Custom Creations process are handled according to the Obsidian Glows Privacy Policy.
New customer-uploaded reference images are processed to remove embedded EXIF metadata where technically possible.
References to uploaded images are generally removed from the Obsidian Glows application approximately 12 months after a request is closed, unless the associated record has been specifically retained for a legitimate business purpose.
Personal information associated with closed Custom Creation requests is generally anonymized approximately 3 years after closure, subject to the exceptions explained in our Privacy Policy.
